It has come to our attention that the auditions for the position of concertmaster at the Boston Symphony Orchestra have encountered difficulties.

Since the beginning of this year, five specifically chosen candidates have participated in the auditions, but unfortunately, none of them have been selected. Among these candidates, two are currently part of the BSO, one holds a notable position as a concertmaster in the United States, another serves as the associate concertmaster for a significant American orchestra, and the fifth candidate leads an orchestra in London.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has chosen not to provide updates on the ongoing search process.

However, it's evident that this situation cannot persist indefinitely without a leader in place.
