Askonas Holt proudly announces the addition of Xabier Anduaga to its esteemed roster for global representation.

Tonight marks the debut of the talented Spanish tenor at Deutsche Oper Berlin, where he takes on the role of Percy in Anna Bolena. Throughout the 2023/24 season, audiences can anticipate his premieres at Wiener Staatsoper as Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore. Xabier also embarks on a new role as Duca in Rigoletto at Teatro Real Madrid, alongside returns to Bayerische Staatsoper and the Royal Opera House for Lucia di Lammermoor, portraying the character of Edgardo.

In the previous season, Xabier captivated audiences with his Metropolitan Opera debut as Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore, earning accolades from critics such as Opera Wire, who hailed him as "a star in the making," and the New York Times, who lauded his performance of ‘Una furtiva lagrima’ as a moment where "time seemed to stop." He continued to impress with a new interpretation of Cosi fan tutte at Bilbao Opera, where he also showcased his talent as Arturo in I puritani.

Xabier's exceptional talent has garnered him prestigious awards, including First Prize and Zarzuela winner at Operalia in 2019, along with recognition from the International Opera Award, Ópera Actual Award, and Ópera XXI Award.
