Royal Opera House Muscat and Teatro La Fenice Forge New Collaborative Pathways

The Royal Opera House Muscat and Teatro La Fenice have convened to explore future partnerships. During a recent meeting at Teatro La Fenice, His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil Fahad Al Said, representing the Royal Opera House Muscat, engaged with Fortunato Ortombina, the General Manager and Artistic Director of La Fenice. Their discussions revolved around strengthening collaborative efforts, devising specific projects, advancements in stage technologies, and devising strategies to attract younger audiences. Reflecting on Teatro La Fenice's successful tour of "L’Elisir d’Amore" in Oman in 2016, they also explored the possibility of residencies for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Dr. Kamil Fahad Al Said expressed gratitude for the opportunity to deepen ties between the two opera houses, while Ortombina acknowledged the Royal Opera House Muscat's international prestige and expressed pride in their past collaborative achievements. He looked forward to continued collaboration in the future, drawing inspiration from the innovative strategies and initiatives of the Royal Opera House Muscat under the guidance of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil Al Said.
