Kevin Giglinto, with over 25 years of leadership experience in the performing arts sector, will assume the role of President and CEO of the Marcus Performing Arts Center in July 2023.
Coming from Washington DC, where he held the position of Senior Vice President at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Giglinto played a key role in the center's expansion project, known as The REACH. His responsibilities included securing support and engagement for the fundraising campaign, which raised $250 million.
Prior to his time in Washington DC, Giglinto held senior positions at the Chicago Symphony. During his tenure, he successfully addressed the decline in subscription rates, achieving three years of growth and increasing subscription renewal rates to over 90 percent.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Giglinto stated, "I have witnessed the transformation of Milwaukee and the ongoing significance of the Marcus Performing Arts Center in shaping the city's cultural landscape. I am honored to lead this organization as its new President and CEO, working alongside the esteemed Board and talented leadership team."
Ray Wilson, Chair of the board at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, remarked, "Kevin joins an accomplished leadership team to advance MPAC's vision within the community. His strategic approach and passion for connecting diverse audiences and enhancing an organization's brand make him an ideal fit for furthering MPAC's mission and strategic objectives."
Wilson added, "Our search committee considered numerous highly skilled leaders from both local and national backgrounds, but Kevin's dedication to audience development and his ability to cultivate meaningful patron relationships made him stand out as the perfect choice for the future of the Marcus Performing Arts Center."
"Kevin has consistently been at the forefront of arts innovation, and we are thrilled for him to utilize his expertise in elevating the profile of MPAC and attracting top-notch arts and cultural programming to the city, state, and region."
