It brings us immense joy to announce that the esteemed Italian bass, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo, has joined Intermusica for global representation.

D’Arcangelo, celebrated for his commanding stage presence and rich basso cantabile vocals, stands as one of the preeminent vocalists of his era. His artistry was acknowledged with the prestigious title of "Kammersänger" at the Vienna State Opera in 2014.

With a prolific career spanning opera and concert performances, D’Arcangelo has graced the stages of the world's foremost venues and collaborated with esteemed conductors including Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, and many more. Initially acclaimed for his portrayal of Mozart's lead roles, D’Arcangelo's repertoire expanded to include notable Verdi interpretations such as Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra and Banco in Macbeth, establishing him as a revered exponent of Verdi's works.

Recent highlights include D’Arcangelo's performances as Il Conte d’Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro at La Scala, Attila at Opéra de Marseille, and his portrayal of Don Ruy Gómez de Silva and Grande von Spanien in a concert rendition of Verdi's Ernani with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester.

For the upcoming season, audiences can anticipate D’Arcangelo's captivating portrayals in Publio in La clemenza di Tito and various Mozart-inspired concerts at the Salzburg Festival, as well as his rendition of Méphistophélès in Berlioz's La damnation de Faust with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, Utrecht.
