Conductor Christopher Dragon Brings Jurassic Fun to Colorado's Comic Con: An Inflatable T-Rex Takes the Stage!
June 11, 2023

Conductor Christopher Dragon made a memorable entrance at one of Colorado's renowned Comic Con events when he took the stage in an unconventional outfit. While the Colorado Symphony performed John Williams' Jurassic Park theme, Dragon decided to wear a complete inflatable Tyrannosaurus Rex costume, standing seven feet tall. The sight of him in this attire was truly remarkable.

Despite the fact that T-Rexes were not known for their agility or well-proportioned arms, Dragon appeared unfazed by his Jurassic disguise. With great enthusiasm, he leaped onto the conductor's podium and led the orchestra in an energetic rendition of Williams' captivating theme. Dragon is no stranger to donning various costumes while conducting. In addition to this 2017 performance, he has dressed as a pirate, a dragon, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, and various characters from Star Wars.

Undoubtedly, all of these performances were entertaining, but perhaps none were as amusing as the moment when Dragon's dinosaur costume began to deflate during the performance, much to the delight of the audience, who audibly expressed their amusement.
