Травень 29, 2023

A & E (Arts and Entertainment) in San Francisco is currently hosting an exhibition titled "Bravo — Celebrating San Francisco Opera, Its Italian Roots and Legacy" at the Museo Italo Americano in Fort Mason. This collaborative effort between the museum, the San Francisco Opera, and the Museum of Performance and Design aims to showcase the significant contributions of the Italian American community and artists in establishing and nurturing one of the nation's most esteemed opera companies.

Through a combination of informative panels, photographs, videos, music, and memorabilia, the exhibition provides an engaging and immersive experience that traces the history of opera in San Francisco. In addition to the exhibition, the museo has curated a series of cultural programming events, including lectures and concerts. On June 1 and June 3, the museo will present "Arias and Instrumentals," featuring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Laura Krumm and the EOS Ensemble performing beloved works from Italian opera composers such as Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, and more. The Saturday concert will be specifically designed for younger audiences and families. To stay updated on upcoming programming, visitors are encouraged to visit the museo's website.

The exhibition, "Bravo — Celebrating San Francisco Opera, Its Italian Roots and Legacy," can be visited at the Museo Italo Americano from Tuesday to Saturday, between noon and 4 p.m., on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Mondays by appointment.
