2 August, 2024

The Israeli Opera has appointed Tali Barash Gottlieb as its new Executive Director, taking over from Zach Granit, who will continue with the company as Artistic Director.

Previously, Gottlieb served as the Executive Director of the Israel Philharmonic Foundation, where she built a robust and influential global network of support for the IPO.

In a LinkedIn statement, Gottlieb expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, saying, “I am thrilled to start this new chapter as the Executive Director of The Israeli Opera. I firmly believe in the Opera's unique role in Israeli culture. During these challenging times, culture provides a vital source of inspiration, inner peace, solace, and strength. I am eager to work with Artistic Director Zach Granit to drive the organization towards continued growth and excellence, reaching new audiences, including those in northern and southern Israel, and engaging younger generations with this art form.”

This season, the Israeli Opera will showcase several classic productions, including “L’elisir d’amore,” “Peter Grimes,” “Otello,” “Theodor,” “La bohème,” and “Ariadne auf Naxos,” running from September 2024 to June 2025.
