For its 12th “Homecoming” season, the Savannah VOICE Festival is partnering with local organizations to offer a series of free events.
The series kicks off with “Masters in VOICE,” a masterclass series providing a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation and performance of operatic singing by esteemed professionals. These sessions will take place at the Demere Center for Living and will feature hosts including Maria Zouves, President and Co-Founder of the Sherrill Milnes VOICE Programs; stage director Fabrizio Melano; psychotherapist Laura Melano Flanagan; and Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor Howard Watkins.

Another event, “VOICES in Sacred Song,” featuring Timothy L. Hall and Festival artists, will be hosted by First Baptist Church.

In a press release, Maria Zouves, Co-Founder and President of the Milnes VOICE Programs, expressed, “When Sherrill and I started the Milnes VOICE Programs, our aim was to center education and outreach in every initiative we undertook.
