Paris Opera Launches New Streaming Platform 'Paris Opera Play' with Access to 80 Performances Worldwide

Paris Opera has announced its new streaming platform, Paris Opera Play (POP). Launched on twenty-ninth March, population will authorize worldwide audiences to access near to eighty performances, as well as live performance broadcasts, documentaries and masterclasses. Bonus content for each performance will be made available on the streaming site, with librettos, interviews and behind-the-scenes features allowing rs to discover the various aspects to opera creation. Its first livestreamed concert will be on Friday seven at 7:30pm when Gustav Dudamel will conduct John Adams’s Nixon in China.

A 7-day free trial is available to examine the platform, with individual rentals of performances thereafter charged at €14.90 with monthly subscription packages at €9.90 and €4.95 for viewers under twenty-eight. The announcement of the new streaming service comes just after Apple Music has announced Paris Opera as a partner organisation for its new specialist classical music app, Apple Music Classical.
