New York City Opera's 'Tosca' Takes the Stage at Bryant Park

The New York City Opera will present a concert version of Puccini’s “Tosca” on August 24, 2024, as part of the Bryant Park Picnic series sponsored by Bank of America.

The event will take place at Bryant Park in NYC, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis and a relaxed atmosphere intended for casual enjoyment.

The performance will feature the New York City Opera Chorus under the direction of Maestro Joseph Rescigno. Soloists include soprano Kristin Sampson as Tosca, baritone Michael Chioldi as Scarpia, and tenor Victor Starsky as Cavaradossi.

Kristin Sampson has performed with the New York City Opera, Opera Carolina, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, and Teatro Verdi in Pisa. Victor Starsky has appeared with the Utah Festival Opera and Wichita Grand Opera. Michael Chioldi has performed with prestigious companies such as the Metropolitan Opera, Gran Teatro Liceu, Odyssey Opera, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Washington National Opera, and Los Angeles Opera.
