On January 27, 2024, San Francisco Performances is scheduled to showcase mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis in a solo recital featuring piano and voice.
The mezzo-soprano will collaborate with pianist Jeanne-Minette Cilliers in a program that encompasses Amy Beach's "Three Browning Songs, Op. 44," Wagner's "Wesendonck Lieder," Melissa Dunphy's "Come, My Tan Faced Children," Margaret Bond's "Birth," Florence Price's "The Crescent Moon," Maria Thompson Corley's "The Beauty in My Blackness," and "I'm Not an Angry Black," as well as Pete Ashborune's "Fi Mi Love Have Lion Heart: No. 3—Banyan Tree; No. 4—Fi Mi Love Have Lion Heart; No. 5—Nobody’s Business."
Bryce-Davis has showcased her talent at renowned venues such as the Washington National Opera, Royal Danish Opera, Dutch National Opera, Metropolitan Opera, La Monnaie, LA Opera, and Carnegie Hall.
