Martin Glaser has secured the position of president at Opera Europa.

Currently, Glaser holds the role of general director at Brno’s National Theatre and is set to step into the position of New General Director at Prague National Theatre in 2028.

With a wealth of expertise in theatre leadership and administration, Glaser has been at the forefront of National Theatre Brno since 2013 while also overseeing two prominent international festivals.

Opera Europa stands as the premier service organization supporting professional opera companies and festivals across Europe, representing more than 240 members spanning 46 nations.

Glaser’s election comes at a pivotal time for the organization, as it continues to foster collaboration and innovation among its diverse membership. His leadership is expected to build on Opera Europa’s mission to strengthen the opera community, drawing on his proven track record of managing large-scale cultural institutions.
