Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has named Dr. Mariko Silver as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding in this role as announced by Board Chair Steven R. Swartz. Dr. Silver, who brings extensive leadership experience in philanthropy, education, government, and the arts, will officially assume her position on September 23, 2024.
As the twelfth President and CEO of Lincoln Center, Silver will continue to advance recent projects aimed at enhancing the cultural vibrancy of New York City through the arts.
Before joining Lincoln Center, Silver served as President and CEO of the Henry Luce Foundation, where she led efforts to promote Democracy, Ethics, Public Trust, and Asian American Voices.
In her statement, Silver expressed her enthusiasm for joining Lincoln Center, reflecting on her long-standing connection to the institution and her commitment to fostering creativity and community. She emphasized her desire to build on Lincoln Center’s legacy of artistic excellence and to further enrich its impact on the arts.
