Intermusica Expands Horizons: Launches New York Subsidiary to Strengthen North American Presence
18 October, 2024

Intermusica has unveiled the establishment of a new subsidiary in the US, named Intermusica Inc., which will operate under the name Intermusica New York.

This new office will be located at Columbus Circle, in proximity to some of New York’s top cultural institutions. Intermusica New York aims to strengthen the company's presence in North America and build closer ties with artists, ensembles, and venues in the US and Canada.

As part of this growth initiative, Intermusica New York has merged with the New York-based boutique agency Wittenberg Artists. Martin Wittenberg, the agency’s founder, will serve as Director of the new subsidiary, reporting to Stephen Lumsden, Intermusica’s Founder and Chief Executive, and Aimee Chow, Joint Head of Artist Management. Deborah Borda, Intermusica’s Non-Executive Chair, will provide additional strategic oversight. Rachel Feldhaus will also join the team as an Associate Artist Manager.

Lumsden commented, “The North American market remains crucial for Intermusica, and we see a significant opportunity to build on our achievements in developing international careers in the US and Canada with a new permanent base in New York. Although we have had a solid presence in North America for many years, this new venture, led by Martin Wittenberg, will be essential for expanding and deepening our relationships with promoters throughout the continent. We aim to share local insights and discover and support outstanding talents on both sides of the Atlantic, collaborating closely with leading orchestras, opera houses, concert halls, festivals, and other creative partners.”

The New York team will closely collaborate with the parent company to ensure a unified global strategy.
