Amy Lam will be leaving her position at the Manhattan 92nd Street Y program by the end of 2023.

The 92nd Street Y, located in New York, is a culturally and community-connected center with international ties. In 1990, the Tisch Center for the Arts combined 92Y’s musical and literary programs.

In 2021, Amy Lam took on the role of vice president and executive director of Tisch Music, succeeding Hanna Arie-Gaifman, who had held the position for 21 years.

Nicholas Russotto, currently the senior director of music programming at Tisch Music, will step into Lam’s previous role as executive director.

During her time at Tisch Music, Lam brought many renowned artists to the concert programs, including Joshua Bell, Regina Carter, Peter Dugan, Larisa Martinez, J’nai Bridges, and the Catalyst Quartet.

Amy Lam will continue her association with Tisch Music as her consulting practice, Lamling Group, becomes a client. Lamling Group has been involved in various projects, such as guest curation for the American Dance Platform at the Joyce Theater, project consulting for the 150th anniversary of the New England Conservatory, strategic planning for Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, and contemporary programming for Rockport Music’s inaugural season.

Previously, Lam served as the artistic director of the non-profit performing arts organization, Celebrity Series of Boston, for 25 years. She is a graduate of Binghamton University School of Management and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Reflecting on her time at Tisch, Lam expressed, "[My time at Tisch has been] an amazing and exhilarating journey." She is proud of the achievements of the Tisch team in the past two years, noting that the program's current audience figures have exceeded pre-pandemic numbers due to collaborations with other arts groups and interdisciplinary events. Lam plans to maintain residences in both New York and Boston.
