Clémence de Forceville Takes Center Stage: Newly Appointed 1st Solo Violinist of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra

French violinist Clémence de Forceville recently completed her trial period and has been officially appointed as the 1st solo violinist of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra (OCL). Her musical journey began at the age of four under the guidance of Radu Blidar. Achieving early success, she won international prizes at nine and later pursued studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris with Olivier Charlier. Furthering her education, she traveled to Germany for additional training with Antje Weithaas and Mihaela Martin.

De Forceville has showcased her talent as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of New Europe, the Südwestphalia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, and the Chamber Orchestra of Catalonia.

Prior to her current position, she served as the first violinist of the Hieronymus String Quartet for three years. Subsequently, she joined Trio Sōra, contributing to a three-disc release on the Naïve label featuring the six Beethoven Trios.

The Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (OCL) expressed their delight in announcing her official appointment, stating, "After her trial period, we are very pleased to announce the official appointment of Clémence de Forceville as OCL's 1st solo violinist! We wish her lots of happiness and great moments in our orchestra."

In response to her appointment, Clémence de Forceville shared her excitement, stating, "So happy to be appointed 1st concertmaster of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra!
