Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund Announces 2023 Recipients and Performance by Pianist Davide Cava and Violinists Hina Khuong-Huu and Fiona Khuong-Huu

D in two thousand-fifteenth by the N Shore Chamber Music Festival, the Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund (AFSF) awards educational scholarships to talented international college and pre-college musicians, mentoring their artistic development and supporting them in the most formative years of their lives.

The two thousand twenty-three recipients include:

Violinist Ava Pakiam
Violinist Madison Lin
Violinist Emrik Revermann
Violinist Hina Khuong-Hu
Pianist Davide Cava

On April thirty, Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund recipients pianist Davide Cava, and violinists Hina Khuong-Huu and Fiona Khuong-Huu will carry out a program of Scarlatti, Liszt, Bartók, Ysaÿe, and Moszkowski. Tune in to The Violin Channel at first PM (ET) to watch!

The scholarship was founded in the title of violinist and longtime member of the Dallas Symphony, Arkady Fomin. He passed far in two thousand-fourteenth, after serving as Artistic Director of the New Conservatory of Dallas and also the Conservatory Music in the Mountains Festival in Durango, Colorado, which he founded. “Arkady knew how to give all of himself to his students, selflessly and wholeheartedly, his trust in the importance of music was inspiring and absolutely contagious.

It's up to us to carry the torch that he's lit – and we do it with grand pride,” violinist Vadim Gluzman said.

The award is made through a non-competitive process and applications aren't accepted — although interested students are encouraged to send audio, video, or written material to notify the committee during the year. Candidates are vetted by an anonymous advisory committee that makes professional recommendations that closely align with the goals of the award.
