Alessandro Corbelli is set to be honored with the Premio Paolo Silveri.
The renowned Italian baritone will receive this prestigious award on December 11 in Treviso, marking 50 years since he won the Concorso Internazionale per cantanti Toti Dal Monte in the same city and began his career by performing the role of Marcello in La Bohème.
The award ceremony will take place at the Teatro Mario Del Monaco, where Corbelli will engage in a conversation about his career with Elena Filini. The event will also feature musical performances by Federico Brunello, Maria Teresa Leva, Giulia Della Peruta, Matteo Lippi, Alex Martini, and Francesco Milanese, who will present excerpts from La Bohème.
Throughout his illustrious career, Corbelli has performed at major opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Teatro alla Scala. His repertoire spans works by composers like Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, and Mozart, among others.
