The Classic Violin Olympus International Competition is open to violinists who were born after April 22, 1984. Its main objective is to discover the most versatile young violinist worldwide.
Under the guidance of Artistic Director Pavel Vernikov and President Konstantin Ishkhanov, the competition will bring together 12 exceptionally talented violinists for a Grand Finale event in Dubai.
The Grand Finale will consist of two rounds of performances, accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. The winner of the First Prize will receive €200,000 from a total prize fund of €310,000. Additionally, apart from the monetary rewards, the 23-member jury board, comprised exclusively of distinguished conductors and directors of renowned orchestras, festivals, and concert series, will offer several finalists the exclusive opportunity to perform live on stage at their upcoming concerts.
The pre-selection stages will take place throughout 2024 in various locations. These include Tokyo (Geidai School) from March 17-21, Vienna (Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna) from April 1-5, New York (Manhattan School of Music) between May 27 and June 2, London (Royal College) from August 26-30, Paris (École normale supérieure) from September 9-13, and Tel Aviv (Buchmann-Mehta School of Music) from September 22-26.
