Tunisian-Canadian mezzo-soprano Rihab Chaieb has signed with Intermusica for general management.
Chaieb recently earned praise for her portrayal of the title role in Carmen and is scheduled to return to LA Opera this season as Dorabella in Mozart's Così fan tutte, to perform as Maddalena in Verdi's Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera, sing Fenena in Verdi's Nabucco with the Canadian Opera Company, and make her debut with Opera Australia in the title role of Carmen.
She has also appeared with prestigious companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Washington National Opera, Calgary Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, and at the BBC Proms. Her notable roles include those in Werther, Carmen, Le Nozze di Figaro, and Akhnaten.
Chaieb was recently featured on Jonathan Tetelman's The Great Puccini album released by Deutsche Grammophon, and performed in Bach’s Mass in B Minor and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Orchestre Métropolitain under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
