After a worldwide competition, three up-and-coming artists have been selected to perform alongside Chen and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the renowned Sydney Opera House. This collaboration marks the second iteration of the global competition and the first time it is being held in the Southern Hemisphere.

The chosen artists will join Ray Chen on July 25, 2023, at the Sydney Opera House to perform Bach's Double Concerto. These three violinists were chosen from a pool of nearly a thousand entries from 56 different countries. The winners are as follows: Yongren Yuto Lim (11 years old, Singapore), Anna Sing (21 years old, Melbourne), and Przemysław (Przemek) Prucnal (21 years old, Poland).

Yongren Yuto Lim, at the age of 11, began playing the violin when he was just four years old. He recently achieved his performance diploma from the Trinity College in the UK and has garnered numerous accolades, including winning first prize at the 2022 Làszlò Spezzaferri International Music and Music Singapore competitions, as well as an Honourable Mention in the 2021 National Piano and Violin competition.

Anna Sing, currently studying medicine at the University of Melbourne, is an Australian violinist who performs with various orchestras, including the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Corpus Medicorum—an orchestra comprised of doctors, medical students, and health professionals based in Melbourne. She received the Australian Strings Association Paul McDermott Violin Scholarship in 2016 and has been a finalist in the Musical Society of Victoria Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Awards.

Przemysław (Przemek) Prucnal, a 21-year-old violinist, made his soloist debut with the Zabrze Philharmonic Orchestra. He has achieved several notable accomplishments, including winning first prize at the Polish Arts Education Center Nationwide Violin Competition and the XV Polish Nationwide Forum of Young Instrumentalists. He is also a recipient of scholarships from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the National Center of Culture's Young Poland program. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in music studies at the prestigious Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Poland.

Yongren Yuto Lim expressed his admiration for Ray Chen, stating that he considers him a hero not only for his violin skills but also for the inspiration he brings to the world. Yongren Yuto Lim mentioned that Ray Chen had traveled to Sydney as a child to take violin lessons and had always dreamt of performing at the Sydney Opera House. Yongren Yuto Lim expressed gratitude to Ray Chen and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for providing him with this incredible opportunity to perform with them.

Under the guidance of guest conductor Tianyi Lu, the Play with Ray concert will also feature a program curated by Ray Chen, which includes specially arranged favorite melodies for violin and orchestra.
