First presented in one thousand nine hundred ninety-third, the Osaka International Chamber Music Contest is open to ensembles of all nationalities, whose members were born on or after May first,one thousand nine hundred eighty-four. You can look the Final Circular of the contest on May seventeen at ninth PM ET on The Violin Channel! The triennial event celebrates the art of chamber music and has two sections: String Quartet and Piano Trio / Quartet.

The ensembles advancing to the Final Circular in the String Quartet portion include:

Chaired by Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, the jury is comprised of violinists Martin Beaver, Weigang Li, Kazuki Sawa, violist Monika Henschel, Mai Motobuchi, cellist Alasdair Tait, pianists Vincent Coq, Eckart Heiligers, and Shigeo Neriki.
