Opera Colorado will bring Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” to life in a captivating concert format on April 26 and May 4.

This unique presentation will offer a ninety-minute, semi-staged adaptation of the beloved opera, enriched with narration to enhance the storytelling experience.

Despite its shorter length, this version preserves the emotional intensity and musical grandeur of Verdi’s original, delivering a thrilling, fast-paced journey through its dramatic narrative.

The exceptional cast features Alexandra LoBianco as Leonora, Deborah Nansteel as Azucena, Ricardo José Rivera as Manrico, John Pickle as Count di Luna, and Young Bok Kim as Ferrando. Marcia Ragonetti will narrate the performance, while Rachael Harding takes on the role of Dancer/Choreographer, with Ari Pelto conducting the orchestra.

The evening will be guided by director Christopher Mattaliano.
