Glyndebourne has revealed that Laura Jukes has been appointed as the new Director of Audiences.
Jukes first joined the organization in 2010 as Senior Marketing Officer. She was promoted to Head of Marketing four years later, where she spearheaded Glyndebourne’s innovative approach to digital marketing and audience analysis. In 2020, she took on the role of Head of Communications, overseeing a unified team covering marketing, audience insights, digital media, and press and PR. Since June, she has been serving as the Interim Director of Audience Engagement, contributing as part of Glyndebourne’s executive team and overseeing areas such as membership, marketing, PR, branding, insight, and content creation.
Before her time at Glyndebourne, Jukes worked at the Edinburgh International Festival, Traverse Theatre, and London’s Arcola Theatre.
Richard Davidson-Houston, Managing Director of Glyndebourne, commented in a press release, “I am thrilled to announce Laura’s appointment as Director of Audiences. Her strategic, audience-focused approach has been key to achieving record-breaking attendance and revenue this year, making her the perfect choice to lead Glyndebourne’s ongoing efforts to drive audience growth as we approach our centenary in 2034.”
