Apollo5 has welcomed Joseph Taylor as its latest tenor, adding him to their ensemble starting from August for the 2024/25 season. Taylor, previously a lay clerk at Manchester Cathedral and involved with Kantos Chamber Choir and Genesis Sixteen, brings experience from The Monteverdi Choir apprenticeship and co-founding The Mancunium Consort after graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music.
Expressing his excitement in a press release, Taylor stated, “Joining Apollo5 is a dream come true for me. I have always admired their music-making, educational work, and creativity. I am eager to begin this new chapter!”
The group bids farewell to long-time member Oli Martin-Smith, who will conclude his tenure in August 2024 after performances at Grange Park Opera, the VOCES8 Foundation Milton Abbey International Festival in July, and Summer at Snape Maltings in August.
