Garsington Opera is excited to share that Douglas Boyd, our Artistic Director, has agreed to continue leading us forward. Under his guidance for the past decade, our artistic endeavors have flourished, earning acclaim and growth for the company. A pivotal aspect of this growth has been our collaborations with two outstanding orchestras, the Philharmonia Orchestra and The English Concert, both of whom have also renewed their commitments for the next five years.

Alfonso Leal del Ojo, Chief Executive of The English Concert, echoed the sentiment, expressing delight in the continuation of their partnership. He emphasized how this collaboration consistently elevates their performances, showcasing exceptional opera alongside remarkable singers and conductors within the stunning setting of the Wormsley estate.
Thorben Dittes, Chief Executive of the Philharmonia, shared in the excitement, expressing thrill at extending their partnership with Garsington Opera. He highlighted the orchestra's enthusiasm for performing opera in such a unique setting each summer season. Looking ahead, he anticipates further growth in community engagement and learning activities, facilitated by the new Garsington Studios.
