Princeton University Concerts will present Chanticleer in a special holiday performance, “A Chanticleer Christmas,” on December 7, 2024, at the Princeton University Chapel.
The concert will showcase a variety of a cappella choral music, from Renaissance masterpieces to uplifting spirituals.
Ahead of the performance, PUC will host a festive “ugly sweater party” at the historic Maclean House on Princeton’s campus, designed as a Do-Re-Meet LGBTQIA+ & Allies Mingle event.
Chanticleer first appeared with PUC in October 2023, engaging the community in a variety of ways. This included inviting singers of all ages and skill levels to participate in the annual Chamber Jam, conducted by Artistic Director Tim Keeler, performing in one of PUC’s free Live Music Meditation sessions, and holding a concert at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall.
PUC Director Marna Seltzer shared, “Chanticleer’s special connection with our community has made their performances even more intimate and impactful. I’m excited to experience their beautiful holiday program in the unique atmosphere of the Princeton University Chapel, surrounded by our passionate music-loving community, with the spirit of togetherness beginning even before the concert at our Do-Re-Meet event!”
