On October 26, The Sixteen will make its debut at Miller.
The concert, held at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, will feature works by William Byrd and Arvo Pärt. Both composers are renowned masters of sacred music, despite facing significant persecution for their art. The program includes the eight-voice motet "Ad Dominum cum tribularer" and three pieces by Pärt that showcase his distinctive style, blending ancient and modern elements.
Based in the U.K., The Sixteen is recognized as one of the world’s premier ensembles, celebrated for its interpretations of Renaissance, Baroque, and contemporary choral music.
