In the 2022 WorldVision Composers Contest, the organizers faced a one-year delay in announcing the results and decided to declare a tie for second place among the three finalists: Horst Hans Bäcker from the Philippines, Rod Schejtman from Argentina, and Claudio Martinez Garcia from Mexico. The delay was attributed to sponsorship issues and shortcomings in their audience voting system.

Despite the less-than-ideal outcome, the organizing committee recognized the exceptional talent and hard work of all three finalists and decided to equally distribute the second-place award of 15,000 euros among them. Horst Hans Bäcker expressed his contentment with the committee's decision, feeling that they were all on an equal level and appreciative of the recognition. He described his emotions as happy, proud, and thankful to God, his father, and his mentors.
