Sir Bryn Terfel to Make Mexican Debut in May

On May 27, renowned bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel will take the stage in Mexico for the first time. He will perform with the Sinfónica de Minería, led by conductor Roberto Kalb, at the Sala Nezahualcóyotl in the Centro Cultural Universitario.

The concert’s opening segment will feature selections from Richard Wagner’s “Die Walküre” and “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.” Following the intermission, the program will present arias by composers including Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Jacques Offenbach, Charles Gounod, and Arrigo Boito.

Additionally, the audience will enjoy a collection of traditional folk songs from Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.

This season, Terfel’s schedule includes performances at prestigious venues such as the Zurich Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, and Verbier Festival, among other notable stages.
