Raphaël Pichon to Conduct Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Carnegie Hall
1 July, 2025

On November 6, 2025, Raphaël Pichon will take the baton to direct the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in a performance of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at Carnegie Hall. This highly anticipated event will unfold on the prestigious Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.

Joining the orchestra will be an exceptional lineup of vocal soloists, including soprano Liv Redpath, mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor, tenor Laurence Kilsby, and bass Alex Rosen, whose voices will bring Beethoven’s monumental work to life.

The Clarion Choir, led by Steven Fox, will also contribute to the evening’s performance, enriching the program with their choral expertise.

In addition to Symphony No. 9, the concert will showcase Beethoven’s Selections from “Leonore Prohaska” and Friedrich Silcher’s “Persischer Nachtgesang,” a piece inspired by the Allegretto movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
