Opera Rara unveils its 55th season, presenting a rich lineup of concerts and new record releases.

In partnership with Temple Music Foundation, the Salon Series kicks off with a recital by baritone Germán Enrique Alcántara, accompanied by pianist Anna Tilbrook.

The 1921 final edition of Puccini’s “La rondine” showcases Ermonela Jaho, Iván Ayón-Rivas, Nicola Alaimo, Ellie Neate, Juan Francisco Gatell, Jessica Robinson, Julieth Lozano, Joanna Harries, Robert Lewis, and William Thomas. The performance is enriched by the BBC Singers and BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Carlo Rizzi.

The Salon Series continues with soprano Julieth Lozano performing alongside pianist Anna Tilbrook in a recital co-presented with Bechstein Hall.

At Wigmore Hall, the “Donizetti Song Project” features baritone Nicola Alaimo accompanied by pianist Carlo Rizzi.

Record Releases

“Donizetti Songs Volumes 5 & 6: French and Italian Songs for Soprano,” performed by Ermonela Jaho with Carlo Rizzi, will be released.

“Donizetti Songs Volume 7: Italian Songs for Soprano,” featuring Rosa Feola and Carlo Rizzi, is scheduled for release.

The series concludes with “Donizetti Songs Volume 8: Songs for Bass,” performed by Nicola Alaimo with Carlo Rizzi.
