Lise Davidsen Honored by Metropolitan Opera Club Membership
5 April, 2025

Lise Davidsen has been granted the distinction of honorary membership in the Metropolitan Opera Club.

The soprano shared her excitement on social media, writing, “It’s truly delightful to be welcomed as an honorary member of the Metropolitan Opera Club after they invited me to join them for a members’ evening in March. It was a pleasure meeting everyone, and I’m so grateful for the warm reception.”

Established in 1893, the Metropolitan Opera Club is an exclusive organization situated on the Dress Circle level of the Metropolitan Opera House. The club organizes unique gatherings and events, often spotlighting artists or introducing singers and performers who might be unfamiliar to its members.

Having just finished performing in “Fidelio” at the Metropolitan Opera, Davidsen is now stepping away from the spotlight temporarily to welcome her twins. She has her sights set on resuming her stage career in early 2026, when she’ll return to the Metropolitan Opera for “Tristan und Isolde.”

While on her break, Davidsen plans to spend time adjusting to life as a mother, a role she’s eagerly anticipating. Her return to the stage is already generating buzz among opera enthusiasts, as “Tristan und Isolde” promises to showcase her remarkable vocal power and emotional depth. The Metropolitan Opera, a venue where she has already left a significant mark, will once again serve as the backdrop for what is expected to be a triumphant comeback. Fans and club members alike are eagerly awaiting her next performance, confident that her artistry will continue to captivate audiences as it has in the past.
