The Central City Opera has revealed the lineup for its upcoming production of “Once Upon A Mattress.” Leading the musical will be conductor Kelly Kuo, with Alison Moritz taking the director’s chair and John Heginbotham handling the choreography. The cast features Marissa Rosen in the starring role, joined by Michael Kuhn, Bernard Holcomb, Jason Zacher, Alex Mansoori, Margaret Gawrysiak, Véronique Filloux, and Schyler Vargas.

This show is scheduled to run from July 12 to August 2, 2025.

For its 2025 season, the Central City Opera plans to present a total of three works, including “The Knock” and “The Barber of Seville,” alongside this production. “The Knock,” a contemporary piece, promises to bring a fresh perspective to the stage, while “The Barber of Seville” will offer audiences a classic operatic experience with its timeless humor and melodies.
