Central City Opera Launches Pride Month with Vibrant Showcase

On June 15, 2025, Central City Opera will usher in Pride Month with an exciting event titled “Drag Me to the Opera” at Denver’s Levitt Pavilion.

The event, emceed by Kira Dills-DeSurra and Richi Ramos, will spotlight performances by Marissa Roen, Michael Kuhn, Alaina de Bellevue, Sydney Dardis, Krisa Gonna, “JUICCY” Misdemeanor, Gila Moonstar, Starlux, and Adam Hirama Wells.

Directing the artistic vision for the show is Alison Moritz, with Jeremy Reger serving as the Head of Music.

The spectacle begins at 5 p.m. local time.

Following this, Central City Opera’s season will commence on June 28, 2025, and continue through August 3. This marks the first festival curated by Moritz.

The season will feature a diverse lineup of performances, showcasing a blend of classic and contemporary works designed to captivate audiences. Moritz’s programming aims to highlight both emerging talent and established artists, offering a fresh perspective on the opera’s storied tradition. The festival will take place at Central City Opera’s historic venue, known for its intimate setting and rich cultural heritage. Attendees can expect a series of events that celebrate artistic innovation while honoring the legacy of opera in Colorado.
