2025-26 Vocal Highlights from Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid

The Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid has unveiled its lineup for the 2025-26 season, showcasing a series of vocal performances.

On October 20, 2025, Alondra de la Parra will lead an all-Shostakovich concert, featuring the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Pequeños Cantores de la ORCAM, and Coro Nacional de España.

A program of Mendelssohn and Schubert will be performed on December 2, 2025, with vocalists Hillary Summers, Sebastian Kohlepp, and Daniel Schmutzhard, under the baton of Laurence Equilbey.

On December 22, 2025, Alondra de la Parra will conduct Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, joined by soloists Serena Sáenz, Judit Kutasi, Andrés Moreno, and Matthias Goerne.

On March 10, 2026, Alondra de la Parra will direct the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, and Pequeños Cantores de la ORCAM in a program featuring works by Mauricio Sotelo and Gustav Mahler.

A concert titled Armonia Vocales will take place on April 20, 2026, performed by the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid.

On May 5, 2026, Nicolas Phan will perform music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor in a program that also includes Dvořák, conducted by Mei-Ann Chen.

Fatma Said will collaborate with Alondra de la Parra on May 26, 2026, for a concert featuring compositions by Mahler and Strauss.

On June 23, 2026, Joana Carneiro will conduct a Beethoven program with soloists Emöke Baráth, Teresa Iervolino, Filip Filipović, and Jan Antem, alongside pianist Jaeden Izik Dzurko.

Continuing the vibrant 2025-26 season, the Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid presents further vocal performances, enriching Madrid’s cultural landscape.

On July 15, 2026, conductor Miguel Ángel García Cañamero will lead the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid in a program featuring works by Gabriel Fauré and Camille Saint-Saëns, with soloists soprano Anna Caterina Antonacci and baritone Simon Keenlyside.

A special performance on August 10, 2026, will showcase the Pequeños Cantores de la ORCAM alongside the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, conducted by Alondra de la Parra. The program includes contemporary pieces by Spanish composer Cristina García Isasi and selections from Benjamin Britten’s vocal repertoire, featuring young soloist María Pérez.

On September 5, 2026, the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, joined by Coro Nacional de España, will perform under the direction of Laurence Equilbey. The concert, titled Voces del Barroco, will feature Baroque masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel, with soloists countertenor Iestyn Davies and soprano Nuria Rial.

Closing the season on September 25, 2026, Joana Carneiro will conduct a grand finale featuring the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, and guest soloists tenor Juan Diego Flórez and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato. The program will include arias from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s operas and a selection of Giuseppe Verdi’s choral works.

These performances highlight the ensemble’s commitment to diverse repertoire and exceptional artistry, ensuring a memorable season for audiences.
